Kangen water is electrolyzed reduced, molecular hydrogen rich water.

Antioxidant Rich
Molecular Hydrogen (H2) is a very powerful antioxidant. Antioxidants scavenge and neutralise free radicals, which are unstable molecules that attack healthy cells in our bodies. Damage caused by free radicals is known as oxidative stress, which is the leading cause of disease (cancer, diabetes etc) and inflammation. Meaning that the molecules are too large to enter the cell via the pathway and leaving us full of water but not hydrated. Store Bought "Alkaline" Water
Store bought alkaline water is very different to Kangen water.
Kangen water is alkaline because of the electrolysis process enriching the water with H2 and preserving naturally occurring minerals in the water.
'Alkaline water' bought in stores is chemically altered water.
It is often reverse osmosis water (acidic water stripped of it's minerals) with added alkaline substances such as baking soda to raise the water's pH. 
Store bought alkaline water has ingredient labels, this is not normal for water. These ingredients are conventional minerals, which are detrimental to our health in large quantities.

vs. Filtered Water / Reverse Osmosis
Kangen water is abundant in positively charged electrons and abundant in minerals (electrolytes) such as calcium, magnesium, sodium, potassium etc.
As stated prior, the electrolysis process within the machine mimics the earths electric process to make electron rich water, it is living water.
This electric charge only lasts 24-48 hours which is why you cannot buy it off a shelf, the charge from the electrons leave the water and it returns to normal filtered water, so drinking the water straight from the machine has the most benefits.
Water filtration processes such as reverse osmosis filters strip the water from all contaminants but also the crucial minerals that benefits our health. This causes the water to become acidic.
Acidic & de-mineralized water is dangerous for human consumption.
If de-mineralized water is consumed, our intestines will have to add electrolytes to this water first, pulling them from body reserves (your bones, muscles and cells).
